Defrost and storage information.

All our cat food is delivered frozen and should be stored in your freezer until you are ready to use it.

The products should be defrosted in your refrigerator overnight. They will last 3-4 days in the fridge once defrosted.

If you do not think you will use a full tub in this time, we recommend allowing a tub to slightly defrost, so it is soft enough to cut into smaller portions. It is then perfectly safe to refreeze what you will not use, to avoid any wastage.

Can I cook/heat Purrform raw cat food?

Do not heat or microwave any of the Purrform products containing bone, under any circumstances.

Uncooked bone is a healthy and natural ingredient for your cat to eat. However, cooked bone can become brittle and splinter, which could be dangerous to feed to your cat.

Packaging

Our goods are shipped in recyclable insulated cardboard boxes. We use ice packs to keep the contents at their optimum temperature.

Our tubs and pouches are also made of recyclable materials.

Testing/safety

We use human grade meat in all our products, and these are processed under very strict conditions. All meat is minced fresh, on the day it is received and then packaged and blast frozen. Samples are regularly sent to an accredited laboratory, specifically to be tested for Salmonella and Enterobacteriaceae.

Do you deliver outside the UK?

Unfortunately, we are currently unable to ship outside of the UK due to the perishable nature of our goods.

How many tubs/boxes will fit into a parcel?

The amount of products we can fit into a parcel varies slightly depending on the time of year. In the summer we pack with extra ice, reducing the available space.

Small box (summer) 25 12
Large box (winter) 50 27
